Blue Horizon Jazz Band
at the Sherborn Inn, 33 N. Main
Street, (inters. of Rts. 16 & 27) Sherborn, MA. Stan McDonald's
Blue Horizon Jazz Band introduced classic jazz to the Sherborn
Inn in 1995. Unlike many "Dixieland" bands, the Blue Horizon
blends the unaffected spontaneity of early New Orleans jazz with
a variety of tightly arranged passages and solos spanning the
classic periods of American traditional jazz music to early
swing. Band members Stan
McDonald, soprano sax and clarinet,
Jeff Stout trumpet, Gerry Gagnon
trombone, Ross Petot piano, Peter Gerler guitar, Al Ehrenfreid
string bass, Dave Bragdon drums, dig to the roots of jazz
and present a varied and succulent musical repast, fulfilling
their motto: The Future of the Music with a Past.
$10. Reservations Please!
