Newport Jazz Festival August 4-6 at Fort Adams State Park, Newport RI

Jeff & Joel’s House Party has changed dates to October 13, 14 and 15, 2017. Folks suggested changing from Columbus Day Weekend and JJHP listened.
NO INCREASE IN TICKET PRICING.   As in past JJHP weekends, single sessions will go on sale after July 1 and Friday night will be $40 per person with Saturday and Sunday sessions remaining $80 per person.

4-6 Newport Jazz Festival, Fort Adams State Park, Newport RI
4 Fri 8pm Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue and Rhianna Giddens at Tennis International Hall of Fame at the Newport Casino, Newport RI. All tickets go on sale Wednesday February 1 at 10:00 am EST. This is a reserved seating event and tickets sell out quickly. There is an eight ticket limit per household.
Also, don’t miss the Pre-Concert Cocktail Party on the Horseshoe Piazza. The party starts at 6:30 pm and includes open bar, music and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are limited and exclusively for concertgoers. This is a separately ticketed event, and will also go on sale on Wednesday February 1 at 10:00 am EST. – Thursday, August 10, 7:00pm: The Crown & Anchor, 247 Commercial St. Provincetown: Molly Ringwald (vocals), Takumi Kakimoto (piano), Ron Ormsby (bass), and Bart Weisman (drums).   Free BUS to Provincetown! Thanks to Plymouth & Brockton, we have a “free” bus leaving Hyannis Exit 6 commuter parking lot at 4:00pm for the Thursday, August 10 concert at The Crown & Anchor in Provincetown. This bus will also stop at Exit 10 commuter parking lot.

14 Mon 7:30pm 13th Annual Provincetown Jazz Festival — Ken Peplowski and Atla & Matt DeChamplain make their Provincetown Jazz Festival debuts at the Cotuit Center for the Arts. 4404 Route 28, Cotuit, Cape Cod, MA.  Atla DeChamplain (vocals) and Matt DeChamplain (piano) will open the concert and they have a love for jazz which brought them together. Accompanied by Ron Ormsby on bass and Bart Weisman on drums. 
Ken Peplowski “is arguably the greatest living jazz clarinetist” says Russell Davies, BBC2. He has recorded approximately 50 CDs as a soloist, and close to 400 as a sideman and some of the many artists he has performed/recorded with include Mel Torme, Rosemary Clooney, Peggy Lee, Woody Allen, Benny Goodman, and Madonna.  He will be accompanied by Matt DeChamplain on piano, Ron Ormsby on bass, and Bart Weisman on drums.
