Christmas music and merriment is just a short time away, and it’s setting the
tone for the  phenomenal holiday extravaganza we have lined up for you!  
If you like big band music and want to support music in our schools; join us!

 I know, I know, this is a little early…but we want you to be among the first to know that EJP, Maine's only all-women big band, will be celebrating the holiday season with our "sometimes annual" holiday concert, but in a new location!  "Swing into the Holidays" has become a favorite holiday tradition in the greater Portland area, and this year we’re at the Orion Performing Arts Center, right next to Mt Ararat Middle School in Topsham, on Friday, December 9^th at 7:00 p.m.

The concert and “swing-a-long” will feature selections from five decades of big-band music, and will include exciting improvisation work and toe-tappin’ arrangements of both time-honored favorites and holiday classics.  Of course, the band will be up to their usual antics; jokes, festive props, and maybe an instrument or two flying through the air…you never know…  

We are very pleased to be hosted by Allen Graffam and the Mt Ararat Music Department and Boosters.  A good portion of the proceeds from this show will help fund their music programs.  We are also looking forward to the Mt Ararat High School Jazz Ensemble playing a few tunes during the show, and we’ll have a guest soloist join us on a “Christmas anthem”.  The Orion Center (located at Mt. Ararat Middle School) is a wonderful venue with “cushy” seats, great acoustics and sound system!
